The Missouri Democratic Party is seeking applicants for the Director of the Missouri Coordinated Campaign. The 2010 ballot will include a top-tier US Senate race, congressional races, statewide auditor’s race, and state legislative races. Applicants must have at least 3 cycles of campaign experience (some federal campaign experience is preferred) and must have significant management experience. Successful applicant will be a seasoned campaign professional with a successful track record in running programs, managing budgets, building coalitions and leading staff.

Primary Responsibilities:
Working closely with the coalition leadership, the Outreach Director will be responsible for developing, coordinating and executing all aspects of the Missouri Coalition for Lifesaving Cures outreach plan. Specific responsibilities include:

  • Building and maintaining relationships with constituencies and allied organizations.
  • Assisting with the coordination of a statewide Speakers Bureau program.
  • Coordinating legislative and electoral advocacy strategies and tactics
  • Supervision of the Regional Outreach staff
  • Tracking accurate data from the outreach programs
  • Implementation of metrics to track the success of the outreach program
  • Overseeing coordination and communication between the coalition leadership and the outreach staff

Working closely with the Executive Director and Finance Director, the Finance Assistant will be responsible for all finance duties in that region, including call time, event planning, staffing and finance research with the objective of exceeding all finance goals.

Missouri Votes Conservation (MVC) seeks a full-time Program Director to execute the main programs of MVC and its sister organization, the MVC Education Fund (MVCEF). MVC, a 501c4 organization, works to build the political power of the conservation community by advancing environmental legislation and helping elect pro-environment candidates. MVCEF is a 501c3 organization that educates Missouri citizens and legislators about environmental issues and activates citizens to work on behalf of the environment. Among the main programs are the Statewide Environmental Summit, hosted by MVCEF annually, to convene Missouri’s conservation community and plan environmental policy priorities; and Conservation Lobby Day in Jefferson City, coordinated by MVC and partner organizations to empower citizens to speak with their elected officials about important conservation issues.
