MOGOP Jihad Against Ron Paul Supporters Continues

I wonder if the bleached bones of Joe McCarthy will preside over these MOGOP loyalty tribunals being held today in Jefferson City?

According to an email from some Missouri supporters of Ron Paul, sent late Sunday night, the state Republican Party has scheduled a special “credentials meeting” for 10 a.m. Monday at the  Blue Armory in Jefferson City.

At the meeting, according to the email, about 300 of the 1,900 elected delegates to the state GOP convention May 30-June 1 must disprove allegations that — presumably — accuse the targeted delegates of not being bona fide Republicans and/or not committed to supporting John McCain for president.

Reason number 2,829 to be glad you're not a Republican.

Interestingly, a number of disenchanted Paul supporters have recently suggested that former  MOGOP spokesman Paul Sloca was forced out from his post last month in part because he was too sympathetic to the Ron Paul faction to suit the needs of Missouri Republican Party leadership.

Not for nothing, but a 2008 election season with a strongly pro-Democratic environment seems an inopportune time for Republicans to be pushing people out of their party.  But it's fine by me.

Voter Fraud in the 55th District

I filed for the 55th District and am running as a Libertarian against incumbent R Bryan Pratt.  Interestingly enough, sometime in April some person or persons unknown to me, committed voter fraud by "changing" my address with the Jackson County Board of Election Commissioners -- meaning I get the joy and privilege of "proving" I live where I have lived for the past nine years just so I can stay on the ballot.

I can't presume much except to think who would benefit from me not appearing on the ballot in a 3-way race.  The Rethugs clearly will go after anyone, even in a "safe" Rethug seat, to ensure they will not lose.  It will be interesting to see what else they have up their sleeves (or should I say, "sleeze") in this race.

So, the examples of Jihad by Rethugs go on and on and on ... perhaps I should be flattered with the attention, but when it comes to holding on to power, money, and influence, no moral stance, no ethical standard, and certainly no violations of state law will stand in the way of Rethugs.  Good times.
