Rumors Of A Nixon-Blunt Zogby Poll

Rumors are swirling around Washington that there is a Zogby poll that tests a head to head between Attorney General Jay Nixon and Governor Matt Blunt with Nixon besting Blunt by THIRTEEN points.

The information I get is that the head to head was 50-37 Nixon.  When I confirm it, you'll be the first to know.

Nixon Already Governing, While Blunt's Out Fundraising

These numbers don't realy suprise me. Last week a bi-partisan coalition of Nixon and 27 governors sent a letter to Congress calling on them to increase energy assistance to low-income households. That's right, Nixon and 27 governors. Looks like Blunt was too busy carrying the water for all of his brother's utility clients. The only chance Missourians have that Blunt will support this program is if someone bends his ear on it during the Republican Party's $5,000 a person wine tasting.

Nixon Trounces Blunt -- not suprised

I'm not suprised that Blunt is this low.  EVERYONE has now figured out that this Governor is not just a bad governor, he's taking us in the wrong direction.  What does suprise me a little is how high Nixon is.  50% of the vote would be good for an incumbent Governor, but for a challenger that is unbelievable.  Nixon has always been strong, but this is awesome.

I'm fired up!

Actually---- I am suprised

To be honest I am very suprised by these figures. Mostly suprised that Gov Blunt could still retain 37% in the poll. It's hard to believe 37% of Missourians still can't see what the boy Gov is doing to us all. Furthermore I would have thought that in a race with Nixon, that Nixon would will by a virtual landslide. I would have guessed the figures to be more like 70 something %  to maybe 18% favoring Nixon. I guess there are still twice as many people in Missouri that still don't have a clue.

Jay leads the Way!
