I just gotta ask - who's economics are we basing this off of? Because for a quarter million Missourians, this is definitely about economics. Its about $40 dollars more a week to put gas in the tank to get to work. An extra $160/month just may be enough that they can quit that second minimum wage job they got.
We can expect a lot of pie-in-the-sky rhetoric about why raising the minimum wage would be bad this year from David Nicklaus. Has he ever supported a minimum wage increase? Ever?
