Blunt's Bridge Give Away -- Nixon Speaks up.

Attorney General Nixon weighed in on the bridge giveaway today.  How in the world can the Governor give away a valuable state asset without even letting people know its available.  Perhaps we have some old run down state cars that would cost a lot to repair -- I'll take em for free, then I can turn around and sell them at a profit.

Apparently Hit Dog Hollers, because Doyle Childers was quick to issue a press statement blasting the A.G. for things he didn't even say.  I predict this whole thing results in a federal investigation of misuse of state property.  Wonder which U.S. Attorney would handle that?   Oh wait, this is in the district of the guy who has the no bid license fee contract.  I'll bet he's o.k. with lucrative no bid giveaways of state assets.

As Doyle Childers says, its "painfully obvious."

Blunt's $10 Million Giveaway to Union Pacific and OCCI

In the Governor's Office DNR statement regarding Nixon's review of the bridge give-a-way, taxpayer protection seems to be the theme of the day.

But it seems to me that giving a $10 million bridge to Union Pacific and OCCI in exchange for thousands of dollars in campaign contributions is the real crime against taxpayer.

Guess the Governor's Office gave that statement to DNR because they couldn't read it and not turn red.

Doyle Childers: Peace Corps Attack Dog?

In over twenty years of public service, that has to be the most shrill collection of words to ever be attributed to Peace Corps Republican Doyle Childers.

I'm guessing that statement was drafted by Spence Jackson, who has already worn out the exclamation point key on his Governor's Office computer.
