Bloomberg has an interesting story [1] about some of the golf outings that various members of congress take part in.
Buried deep within the story is this interesting little tidbit about Missouri's own Roy Blunt (R-K Street):
The FEC reports offer some clues into how lawmakers use their campaign funds. Alaska Republican Representative Don Young disclosed a $3,896 payment for ``golf tees'' this year; Missouri Representative Roy Blunt, the House's third-ranking Republican, reported spending $1,764 on golf gloves in May 2004.
If their campaign contributions have to subsidize that sort of lavish lifestyle, no wonder those K Street lobbyists have to charge $50,000 [1] for one month's worth of work.
