GOP members are figuring out that Roy Blunt is Tom DeLay lite: All the corruption, but without the ability to deliver votes.
In a crushing blow to the ethically embattled [1] Majority Leader Roy Blunt (R-K Street), the House rejected the Labor, HHS, Education spending bill today [2]. From Think Progress:
In a dramatic rebuke of conservative leadership, the House has defeated the Labor, Health and Human Services and Education spending bill [3] for Fiscal Year 2006. This bill contains one-third of all domestic spending and deep cuts to critical government programs.
These budget votes have been billed as a major test of Blunt's leadership [4] ability. The report cards have been issued by the GOP, and they gave Blunt an "F."
