This is corruption at its worst.  It deprives real citizens of a voice and it is a phenomenal waste of tax dollars to fund defense contracts to reward contractors like Wilkes.  But most disgustingly, these shenanigans divert resources that should be going to ensure that our Soliders, Sailors, Airmen, and Marines have the tools they need to do their jobs.

Senator Jim Talent has been in Congress for most of the last two decades and he sat silently by while all of this was going on.  Shame on him for not standing up to these hucksters, hooligans and harlots.  But then again, maybe he just turned his head because the defense contractors kept on bankrolling his campaigns.
