While Blunt Calls for Criminal Charges, DNR Takes Cash from Ameren

In mid-January, Matt Blunt asked Attorney General Jay Nixon to file charges against Ameren for the Taum Sauk reservoir breech.

Apparently no one at Blunt's Department of Natural Resources got the memo.  Earlier this week, Blunt's DNR announced that it was accepting a grant from Ameren to buy solar panels.

How is it possible that the Agency charged with helping hold Ameren accountable for its environmental bad acts can simultaneously take money from it?

Perhaps Governor Blunt has some thoughts on the topic.
