The Lograsso-Jetton Kickback Scheme

The Kansas City Star has a devastating story today on a kickback scheme devised by Speaker Rod Jetton and his General Counsel, Don Lograsso.

In the scheme, strip club owners donated money to a PAC that pays Lograsso consulting fees, and in return, legislation that threatened their industry was assigned to a hostile committee by Speaker Jetton.

Part of Lograsso's job as General Counsel to the House is to advise the Speaker on the assignment of bills to committee.

This matter needs to go to the Public Integrity Unit at the Justice Department right away. Given the open feud between the Jetton faction of the GOP and the Graves/Blunt factions, it would be a conflict for U.S. Attorney Todd Graves to oversee this investigation.

Furthermore, as the investigation continues, it will inevitably involve witnesses with incriminating information about the Graves/Blunt faction. Given that Todd Graves is making millions off an appointment from Blunt, this conflict should simply be avoided, and the matter should be handled by the Public Integrity Unit from the start.

Eastern Jackson County in the news!

Finally, all those years of electing Republican, notably Don Lograsso, has paid off for Eastern Jackson County!  Everyone in Blue Springs, Grain Valley, and Oak Grove can strut with conceited pride that Don finally is making it BIG TIME in Jefferson City!  I'm certain his appointment as a second Municipal Judge in Blue Springs shortly before he was to file to run for Mayor was just coincidence, right FORMER Mayor Greg Grounds (another *sigh* attorney).  But since Steve (Why Pay Property Taxes on Time) Steiner won the race anway, Dandy Don still gets his nice JUDGE job, the taxpayers of Blue Springs get to pay MORE to Don and STILL have him representing their best interests for them in Jefferson City.  GO DON (all the way to federal prison)!

GOLD STAR TO TIM HOOVER

of the KC Star.  There is so much corruption, cheating, and coersion going on in Missouri right now that it is shameful!  Most of the Capitol Press Corp won't take the time to check it out.  Good one, Tim.  Gracie
