George Bush has made cowards of the American public, so much so that many Americans are willing to allow the president and his administration to place limits on our privacy. It is a shame that so many Americans are willing to condone the unprincipled actions of this administration. They are imprisoning people in our name without trial, they find torture to be acceptable even legal if the president so desires. All of these actions on the behalf of the American people should make those who readily accept limits on privacy and limits on speech by not allowing people to protest except in designated areas hang their heads in shame. Even the people we have elected are afraid of forcing this man to follow the laws of the land. Of course the party in power enjoys this fake patriotism since it allows them to charge those who dare to speak out as un-American, but what could be more un-American than not speaking out.
Do you think when he stands before his creator, he might ask. "Did you use my name to divide people for the sake of power and wealth?"
