Today's blockbuster story in the KC Star [1] alludes to the corporate structure that the Blunt administration has been using for their racketeering enterprises.
Undoubtedly the feds will find both the manner in which the fee office awards occurred and the corporate structure that the Blunt administration put in place very interesting.
For those who may not have time to look through the corporate records, below you'll find a handy guide of entities to watch.
All of these entities were set up by Jamison K. Shipman [2], an associate in the Kansas City offices of Lathrop & Gage and a subsidiary of that firm, Registered Agent Ltd, serves as registered agent for all those companies.
Lathrop & Gage has also received tens of thousands of dollars in fees from Governor Blunt's political committee, presumably for their representation of Blunt in the ongoing ethics probe.
The Lathrop & Gage partner in the KC office with the GOP juice is Terry Brady [3]. Brady has previously set up corporations for the GOP elite, including Patterson for Congress [4] and Graves Family Farms. [5]
Brady is also a Blunt appointee to the Board of Kansas City Police Commissioners [6]. Subsequent to Brady's appointment to that board, the KC Police Department hired Jewell Patek as their lobbyist. [7]
And when longtime Sam Graves aide Jeff Roe decided to set up a private consulting business, in addition to his work for the Patek-Blunt firm of Election Day Enterprises, guess who he turned to for his corporate legal work? Go ahead, take a peek. [8]
Listed in the table below are entities that appear to have ties to fee offices. You will note that these corporations were created prior to the award of the fee offices to individual agents. So, someone with the apparent authority to act for the Blunt administration approached Shipman/Brady and directed them to set up this corporate structure, believing that there would be some subsequent purpose for it.
Wouldn't you just love to know who was in that meeting with Terry Brady back during the Blunt transition and inauguration planning? Let's see, who was involved in all that? Hmmmmmm.
And as the feds make their way through the corporate maze outlined below, they will undoubtedly want to know who the money went to, and for what.

1. Spelling error corrected in subsequent corporate
filing.
2. This appears to be the corporation used by Eric and Tracey Zahnd for their fee office. Zahnd is the Platte County Prosecuting Attorney.
3. This company may or may not be related to the fee office scheme. However, it does follow the precise form of the other entities, so it is probably worth keeping an eye out for.
