AP: Spokesman Compares Activist To Oklahoma City Bomber
Here's the AP story on Spence's latest outburst. Jackson continues to make baseless claims that I have attacked the Governor's wife and son on this site. Spence knows that's not true, and so does the Governor. Surprisingly, the news media continues to repeat Jackson's comment without making any independent effort to support of refute his statement.
Thus far, no reporter has asked Governor Blunt to react to Jackson's comments.

Holy Outrageous Overkill Statement, Batman!
Spence is so WAAAAAY out of line on this one. But, as others have said, I can't believe the press is so complacent to let it go as is. That's like taking the National Enquirer word for word as your source. Roy's being a burr under Spence's saddle is not even a reasonable excuse for what Spence said. How scary is it, though, that the folks in power view it that way. Says a LOT about Spence & Co.'s mindset, though...
I honestly think they would like to return to the "glory
days" of McCarthy. I really do. Â
I would sue.
That statement goes way over the line. You just don't go around calling people terrorists. Â
Yes, please SUE
This is absolutely outrageous! And so is that voter ID bill. My mother is almost 81 years old, has NEVER missed voting in any election since 1946, but is now one of the many disenfranchised voters this bill has created. She has no picture ID and no birth certificate. She is just beside herself over this outrageous piece of legislation.Â
Perfect plaintiff
At 81, never missed voting, no birth certificate and no picture ID = the way this bill can be stopped in court. Someone need to come forward that can be harmed by this bill.
That's a standard GOP play for you & AP Yellow Rag Journalism
Agreed, but it is standard GOP behavior, and sadly, projects how badly journalism in this country has went downhill. Interesting that they'd print this drivel and not make the slightest attempt to obtain a confirmation or denial from Roy about it or even checking the blog for the truth of Spaz's accusations.Â
They indicate no curiosity at all about Roy's side. I am so glad that I live in a town of 2 papers that do practice great journalism (both have won many awards, so I am rather spoiled from the high quality journalism both practice!).
Regarding this piece, there's no surprise really given that 90% of the media is owned by conservatives in this country, therefore, ultimately they only want to present gross GOP propaganda and yellow rag journalism that twists and distorts the truth, as it perpetuates republican lies and GOP dogma.Â
Well, one day, Spaz and company (sooner than they realize) will be out of office, and we'll get some decent Democrats in there to take their.place and show us what a great state Missouri can be with the right people at its helm!
Soapergirl
Despicable
Spence Jackson needs to go. The MSM needs to hold Blunt's feet to the fire on these comments and force him to disavow this slander.
Roy and Fired Up Occupying Force in Governor's Office
A date certain has been set for withdrawl--- January 2009.Â
Spaz
I believe I would have Brother Spaz in court over remarks like this. Of course it would be difficult to find a court not loaded in their favor.
