Senator Talent's Phone Sex Buddy Goes Belly Up

Back in January, we reported that Senator Jim Talent had been soliciting phone sex magnates Jeffrey and Dawn Prosser for their financial help in his reelection bid. The Prossers came through for $4,200. The Prossers were also generous donors to GOP family man, Rep. Roy Blunt.

Bad news for Blunt and Talent. It looks like it might be a while before the Prossers are in a giving mood again. They've filed for bankruptcy with personal debts estimated as high as $200 million.

Yikes!  I'm amazed, fascinated, and horrified.  How does anyone manage to spend that much money?  At what point do you lose track of what you've bought and what you haven't bought and wouldn't you be drowning in stuff?

Does it say it's a GOOD thing to accept money from pornographers.  Might be in the Rethug "bible" to get elected and continue the highly organized political crime wave of fleecing lobbyists, but not in the Judeo-Christian work I'm talking about.

To that end, where are the "Christians" in all this?  Where is the outrage?  Where is the overt movement to replace the morally bankrupt with truly God-fearing elected officials?  I guess when the letter behind someone's name is more important than they way they conduct their personal, professional, and political business, then it's easy to take the next step and "forgive" them for these minor transgressions, right?
