According to an article in the Kirksville newspaper [1], Blunt's crony appointment to DNR director (Doyle Childers) recently raised a "stink" at a public meeting in Kirksville when he not only dodged questions, but offended the attendees by getting snippy with his responses. Basically, he indicated he didn't really care about their problems and didn't have enough knowledge of his own agency to answer them. It makes you wonder if someone needs to die, as happened with the southwest Missouri group home fire, before Blunt or his flunkies get interested in the environment. Or, is he too afraid of offending business interests?
