Rookie of the Year: Sen Jolie Justus
I've spent a good deal of time listening to legislative debate this year. I have been hugely impressed by the job Jolie Justus has done on the floor of the Missouri State Senate. She's smart, articulate and deeply committed to the progressive agenda. And she navigates the floor with the street smarts of a termed-out veteran.
An outstanding rookie year.

Interesting contrast with Jeff Smith
If one thing is clear from the session, it's that Jolie views politics and government as a team sport; Jeff Smith views it as an individual endeavor.
Good Job, Jolie
Unfortunately, I live in a neighboring district and Jolie is not my state senator. However, I was more than happy to contribute to her campaign last fall and support her over the Republican stooge who supposedly "represents me." It was money well spent. :-)

I am proud to have Jolie as State Senator from my district. I supported her, voted for her and have the pleasure of seeing her out and about from time to time. Great Job Jolie!! Thank you.

Absolutely. Jolie Justus rocks. She's the future of Senate Democrats. A liberal who makes her points well and dispassionately (or passionately when its appropriate). Her practical and studied approach to issues is exactly what we need.
