ANTHONY INCE ANNOUNCES CANDIDACY FOR GOVERNOR OF MISSOURI (Springfield, MO, 7/27/07) -- Dear friends, family and fellow Missourians, Today I want to express my intent to run for Governor. As a citizen of our great state I have had first hand experience with the problems that we all face on a daily basis. I too have struggled from pay check to pay check, and I have felt the financial strain of raising gas prices, that seem to put us in the position of going to work and putting gas in the car, and wondering if there will be food on the table. I have struggled for the very best for my son who has Autism, the best medical, the best education, the therapy. I have shared these same burdens to do what is right and I have seen a relentless state government expanding and affecting every aspect of our lives. I see it at the Gas pump, and I see it in the schools. And I see that the Honorable Governor Matt Blunt has done his very best and I feel his approach to reform, even with the best intentions, has not been the best avenue to achieve the goal. We cannot sacrifice the few for the many we must do what is right for all Missourians and sacrifice none. I am not saying Governor Blunt is wrong in what he has been trying to do, but I am saying he is wrong in the way he is trying to do it. I am talking about the medicaid cuts he made. The proposal of Missouri HealthNet is wonderful and I commend him for that, but not for pulling the rug out from under so many medicaid recipients, without putting safety net in place first. It's time for a change in Missouri, its time to change the direction this state is taking in many areas. We have strayed away from personal freedom toward the direction of security. We have give the politicians control of our schools and our homes. We have allowed big corporations to abuse our legal and political system to the point that we allow them to abuse Emanate Domain to build their Super Centers. We have allowed the state to dictate morality and parenting. And it's time for it to Stop The people of our great state, seem to me, to feel powerless and restrained by our government, that it doesn’t matter what they think politicians are going to do what they want any way. It is time that we take it back and give Missourians a sense of influence and most of all grant them control over their lives. I am C. Anthony Ince and I am currently forming a campaign committee for the 2008 election. And I want to serve this state and its people in restoring personal freedom and domain over our lives, and to give us all a major influence over the general assemble. My decision to run is not to be the Leader of Missouri but to be a servant to the citizens that are the State of Missouri.
