Blunt's Manipulation of Highway Patrol May Cost It National Accreditation

According to Capital City sources, Matt Blunt's inappropriate use of the Highway Patrol to smear Attorney General  Nixon may cost the law enforcement agency its national accreditation.

The Patrol is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA).  It proudly highlight the accreditation on its website.

But that all could change.  A central tenant of CALEA accreditation is that the law enforcement agency be free of inappropriate political manipulation.  Matt Blunt's heavy-handed manipulation may now cost the Patrol its national seal-of-approval.

That could result in lower moral and greater liability exposure.

A high price to pay for Matt Blunt's base political goals.
