Majic Man: Blunt Declares "Official" Numbers "Un-Official"
In a stunning double slight of hand, Matt Blunt today declared federal unemployment numbers and Highway Patrol
estimates for the Tour of Missouri crowd... wrong.
After the Bush Administration declared Missouri's unemployment rate the fastest growing in the nation, Spence Jackson told the Associated Press that the Blunt's Administration didn't believe the numbers.
But it didn't stop there. Blunt also ignored (low) crowd estimates by the Highway Patrol for his $1 million Tour of Missouri bike race. Instead, Blunt is seeking "outside" estimates.
In a related development, Blunt declared that government emails containing bad news are not public records and subject to immediate deletion.

I have heard stories that the Highway Patrol would not allow emergency vehicles to pass while the bicycle racers were going through a given area. If this is true, why hasn't there been any publicity about it?
