Will the Blunt Administration take down Matt Blunt's Christmas Tree?

With school children on hand, Matt Blunt today decorated the Capitol Christmas Tree, a beautiful White Pine from Hermann.

But it is unclear if the tree will survive the holiday season.

According to official­ policy (effective February 2006), the Blunt Administration bans the display of live Christmas trees in state buildings.

"For fire code reasons, no live Christmas trees or wreaths will be permitted." OA Rules and Information , p. 15.
