State of State: Unemployment Surges; Jobs Fall

Another month, another dismal employment report for Missouri.

According to the AP, unemployment surged in Missouri to 5.5% in December, a full half point above the national average.

And Missouri lost 2,100 jobs. 

But according to Matt, "our economy is growing...."­
