BHC employees to get pink slip

Since Bernie Simons announced that lay-offs are impending on the 25th of January, the state workers at Bellefontaine Habilitation Center (BHC) have been on pin and needles wondering if they have a job. Later today, the pink slips will be handed out. For the media, through administration/press releases to say that BHC is running with the same amount of staff it had when 160+ others lived there is laughable. I'm sure you've had this moment: you are reading the paper, and wonder how they could EVER PRINT SUCH A THING? Since when does the paper have a FICTION section??? Yes, we all, workers and residents and parents have been victimized by the very administration that is supposed to be working FOR us. BHC has has some very bad press in the past few years. Who really thinks that cutting employees is going to help that? Who, at BHC, is going to be more safe because there are less workers? All of these advanced-degreed professionals "running the show," one has to wonder if there is not one cent of common sense among them? Apparently they wanted to call in their "friends" to take over--but none of them wanted it. It is a very, very sad day.
