[0]Too often, political journalists think they have written a balanced story as long as they have gotten a snarky quote from "both sides" and don't feel any obligation to present any insight into the objective reality of the situation. 

Last week, in honor of Dr. Seuss's birthday, my daughter, a first grader, brought home some interesting homework.  The purpose of the exercise was to teach kids to distinguish between facts and opinions.

I thought the press corps might find is a useful guide.
