Communications Associate, The St. Louis Beacon


The St. Louis Beacon is a start-up non profit online news source founded by veteran local journalist and focused on delivering news that matters to the St. Louis region.

POSITION OVERVIEW 

The St. Louis Beacon seeks a Communications Associate to support, lead and execute various marketing, advertising and development projects.

Main responsibilities will be:
  • Managing and developing grass-roots on and off-line marketing and PR efforts.
  • Assisting in strategy and managing execution of non-traditional sponsorship and advertising opportunities and relationships.
  • Participating in design and potential management of internal development policies and practices.

Qualifications: 

  • The ideal candidate has experience in the strategic aspects of marketing, development and/or advertising and can work as a self-starter in a start-up environment.   
  • Solid writing skills and a thorough knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook and the internet a must.  Basic HTML skills a plus.
