No leadership from Kinder
Sam Page asked for Peter Kinder to voice his opinion on an important Federal Medicare Bill. Knowing our elected official's thoughts and opinions on legislation is important for the citizens of our state so we can make up our mind on how to vote. Arrogantly, a Kinder spokesperson has refused to let Kinder's opinion be known saying that Sam Page's question does not warrant a response.
Excuse me!
Politicians routinely tell the voting public their thoughts and feelings concerning legislation. Why the question does not warrant a response is a mystery. Is Kinder merely so arrogant he thinks we the voters do not need to know his thoughts? Is Kinder's position unpopular and Kinder is afraid to stand up for his convictions?
An email to Kinder's spokesperson Paul Sloca with specific questions about Kinder's position was not returned. Sloca, in a fit of over the top rhetoric called Sam Page's simple question about Kinder's opinion a "cheap political attack." Since when is asking a politician for an opinion on legislation that will impact seniors a "cheap political attack?"
By refusing to tell the voting public where Kinder stands on this important legislation the Kinder campaign is telling the voters that we are unimportant and "do not need to know" where the Lieutenant Governor stands on the key issue of health care for seniors.
Arrogant? Afraid? Uninformed and therefore has no opinion? Why won't Kinder answer?
Is it that Kinder thinks we are unimportant and just don't matter?
This is certainly NOT the way to provide leadership on the issue of health care for seniors.
