Wow. Here we go again! We can go after McCain a bunch on his policies toward the middle class and other issues he's wrong on, but using this tack will back fire.

I agree with popsuscg about this advertisement.  There is plenty I disagree with McCain about.  This type of advertisement not only could back fire but it sounds as if, "despite being tortured he is not a broken, cowed, or contrite man!"  The advertisment could be interpreted by some as sounding as if McCain is strong willed.

This type of advertisement also tends to annoy veterans and active duty military people.  Do you remember when the republicans were making fun of John Kerry by having bandaids with purple hearts drawn on them?  Remember, the republicans dropped that because of the backlash from military veterans, active duty military, and others.

McCain has a lot of problems and weaknesses but I do not think most people will think having a temper after being tortured for his country as a McCain fault.
