Bush's Bailout of Hulshof Flops

President Bush allegedly traveled to Missouri Friday night [1] for another attempted bail out.  (I say allegedly, because no video exists).  This bail out was for Kenny "Hong Kong" Hushlof.  But rumor has it that, like Bush's other bail out, this one isn't working.  Eyewitnesses say there wasn't much of a turn out, but more important note that Mr. Hulshof hasn't reported any large contributions from Friday night.  The new law that Hushlof and his buddy Mike "Million" Gibbons supported, requires Hushlof to report his large contributions within 48 hours of receipt.  Even if Hushlof told everyone to bring their checks to the event, he should have reported them Sunday night, but nothing shows on the ethics commission web site.  Either Kenny raised no money, or he's violated the campaign finance laws he supports.

UPDATE:  I just started thinking about whether Hulshof would make some argument that you don't have to report on Sundays.  I don't see an exemption in the statute, it talks about hours, not days.  Moreover, they have reported on Sundays before [2] when they got checks over $5,000 on a Friday night.
