Kinder continues going negative

For months the Kinder campaign has made claims that Dr. Sam Page will go negative in his advertisements.  The Kinder campaign has stated this would be the case because going negative is how all campaigns respond when they are losing the race.

Throughout the entire campaign season Dr. Sam Page has remained focused and positive.  Right after the St. Louis Beacon
ran an article where Kinder admits his own internal polls show a close race, the Kinder campaign came out with a negative television advertisement that is false to the point of being an out and out blatant lie!

During the primary season the Kinder campaign has been so frightened of losing to Dr. Page they put out a radio advertisement that sounded like it was prepared for a Sophomore Class President campaign rather than for statewide office.  This radio advertisement contained the same lie now being broadcast in television advertisement.

The lie states that Dr. Page voted against a bill that called for criminal background checks of Foster Parents.  What the advertisement does not state is there were two bills.  Both bills called for criminal background checks of Foster Parents.  However, the bill Kinder supported would have made it harder to investigate and convict people of child abuse.  The bill Dr. Page supported did more to protect children from abuse and included criminal background checks for Foster Parents.  Kinder knows he supported the bill that would have helped to protect child predators like Peter Kinder's recently resigned Chief of  Staff Eric Feltner .  Kinder also knows that Dr. Page supported background checks and keeping laws in place to protect children from child predators.

It is obvious that Peter Kinder has to go “super negative” with a lie in order to try to slow down Dr. Sam Page’s campaign.  Dr. Page continues to advance in the polls and Peter Kinder continues to grasp hopelessly for traction as his campaign begins to fall apart.

Please protect our Children and support Dr. Sam Page.
