$300K Debt to Team Blunt Weighs on Kinder's Senate Hopes

It's been a rough couple of days for the "last man standing," Peter Kinder.

His last two press conferences have been overshadowed by announcements from alpha-males more important statewide officials.

And now, as Kit Bond's US Senate seat opens up, Kinder is finding his hopes for that office shackled by his last borrow and spend campaign.

Living beyond his political means, Peter "Every Dollar Counts" Kinder took out a $300,000 campaign loan from Matt Blunt on November 3rd.

That debt now weighs on him like an anchor.

With Matt Blunt encouraging his father to run, any movement by Kinder toward the Senate race could result in Matt Blunt "calling" the loan.  In a worst case scenario, Kinder could face an embarrassing collection lawsuit or having his campaign committee forced into involuntary bankruptcy by Team Blunt.
