Bill O'Reilly says it isn't "constructive" for Eddie Martin to be continuing his "ideological" schemes

2009-02-21-085025MOGOP Chairman Emeritus Eddie Martin was pretty excited about his appearance on Bill O'Reilly's show last night, but it can't have been quite what he hoped for. Martin was invited to discuss his Right-Wing Front Group de Jour, the American Issues Project. But in a bit of commentary inexplicably titled "What Would Jesus Do?," this is what O'Reilly said of Eddie Martin's latest scheme:

What good does that do now? The stimulus package is law. It was debated for weeks before Congress passed it...Advocacy groups [like Eddie Martin's] can do whatever they want -- it's their money -- but it doesn't seem to be very constructive to continue an ideological debate at this point.

Full video of O'Reilly's Talking Points segment is here. I haven't been able to find video of Martin's interview yet though (wisely, FOX doesn't seem to post all of O'Reilly's video) -- please drop us a line or let us know in comments if you find it.

I think it was Winston Churchill who said, "As Bill O'Reilly goes, so goes the crazy people."

UPDATE: Here's the video:
