Parenting on Pluto

26GOP State Representative Cynthia Davis (R-Pluto) has sponsored legislation  to give stay-at-home moms $600 in scholarships every year, hoping to help them get back into the workforce after their kids are grown.

Sounds reasonable enough. Except bad stay-at-home fathers are specifically exempted from Davis' bill.

Why aren't fathers included? Well, Davis explains, men can't breast-feed

Oh, and fathers aren't really very good at taking care of children either:

"Mothers are natural nurturers. Fathers are not. It goes back to the hunter and gatherers type".

Davis says she's just trying to prompt the mother who "watches soap operas and eats bonbons all day" to use the money for education expenses.

No word yet on whether the incentives will have any impact on a mother's ability to prevent children from wandering into oncoming traffic.
