Blunt pushes for personal stimulus

Forgetting that voters actually pay attention to what he's doing in Washington, Roy Blunt (R-K Street) voted against freezing Congressional salaries yesterday.

The pay freeze was approved by an overwhelming 398-24 vote, with most Members believing it would be inappropriate to pocket a raise while unemployment is soaring and the economy is in decline.

Blunt thought otherwise.

No word yet on whether Blunt's proposed federal spending freeze includes an exemption for his personal checking account.
