If you had Howard Dean on the phone, what advice would you offer him as the new Chair of the DNC?

Advice for Howard Dean
I would suggest to Mr. Dean that he not apologize or take back anything that he has said or might say. When Jean Carnahan made the comment that "If George Bush can't find Osama, he came to Missouri to get me". (This may not be her exact word for word quote but best I remember)
I wish she had said "Thats what I said Mr. President, and I damn well meant it!"
Take off the gloves, Howard, and let them have it with both barrels. Kind words will get no nowhere with these folks, and I use the term folks to keep from saying something I shouldn't.

I hope Howard Dean stays behind the scenes as much as possible. I know it's not his fault and I know it's irrational, but I think a lot of people still see Dean as that weird guy who screamed like a maniac once. We need Dean for his plan. We need him for the strategies he used to make his grassroots movements so energized and so effective. I just think that he should be more Leader and less Figure Head.

One of the reasons
Dr. Dean was so effective is that he put himself out there. He needs to be out there. Name some strong Dem leaders (ones that aren't in office) that are out front at the moment. There aren't any! What I've heard on the news since last Nov is a bunch of BS about the crumbling of the Democratic Party. IMO, we had no leadership in the weeks following the election. Now we have it. Dr. Dean is quite a presence.
Strong Dems have been silent for too long. Who cares if he screams? What people should care about is leadership and integrity. And judging by the record setting fundraising he's doing, it doesn't seem people think him too maniacal.
Keep up the good work!
I like what I've seen so far, Dr. Dean. You only give local interviews when you make appearances. You don't pull punches. You call the news media on their incessant stream of BS. You keep energizing those of us who felt completely disenfranchised after Nov 2 (and even before that).
But the most important thing you are doing is not letting anyone forget we Democrats are here, and we're still fighting. Watch out, rethuglicans, we're coming for you....
