Todd Graves Name Was On The Missouri Election Lawsuit

Contrary to the assertion being made by Todd Graves via his media friends, Graves name was on the lawsuit against the State of Missouri for allegedly failing to maintain voter lists that are actually the responsibility of county election officials.

As is the custom in lawsuits of this type, the principals names are affixed and the document is actually signed by someone authorized to do so on their behalf.

The signature blocks in the lawsuit in question, are:

Alberto Gonzales
BY
Wan J. Kim (signed by Charles M Thomas)

Todd Graves
BY
Charles M Thomas (KC, MO)
John K Tanner (DOJ)
T. Christian Herren (DOJ)

So, the questions this raises are:

1.  Why does Todd Graves now claim he wouldn't put his name to this lawsuit when he clearly allowed it to be affixed?

2.  If, as he now claims, he had objections to the lawsuit, why did he allow it to go forward.

3.  Is he alleging that DOJ forged the document?

4.  Did Graves have an ethical duty to prevent a lawsuit from being filed if he believed that inaccurate factual representations had been made therein, or if he thought it was without legal merit?

5.  Knowing that Graves has an incentive to mislead them to prevent the real reason for his ouster from becoming known, why does the press keep repeating his post-hoc rationale without actually checking the facts?

I'll just sit here and wait quietly for some answers.

Why hasn't anyone picked this up?

I keep flogging this but I can't get anyone to pick this question up.  Why did he sign the suit?  Is he lying or did someone forge his name?

This is a question that someone in the Missouri media should get the answer to right now.  It goes to the veracity of his statements about why he was forced out of his job.

Great questions

Perhaps some intrepid reporter will actually ask Graves these questions.

Wow.

This is important stuff here.  If you've been following this story, this claim on the part of Graves has now made it to the national media.  What happened here?  Here's my latest post on this.

This story is getting pretty interesting now, huh?

you mean Kraske didn't check his facts?

I'm surprised Kraske wouldn't check that fact before he printed it in his column.

How many other lazy journalists have since repeated his misreporting?
