If you like jobs, you'll loathe Missouri Republicans

The last few weeks have been a sad and stark illustration of the inevitable economic results of Republican control of state government.  We've seen...

A Missouri Chrysler plant shutdown

The refusal of Bombardier to relocate to our state, despite lucrative inducements

The sale of Anheuser-Busch to a Belgian firm

Record levels of unemployment

A loss of 15,000 jobs since last October

Yet despite all this, we've got a Governor who believes that the "pro-jobs, pro-growth initiatives we have enacted are working" and two Republican gubernatorial candidates who are clear about their commitment to following Matt Blunt's policy lead should they be elected.

Maybe jobs and economy just aren't important to Republicans in our state?  If they do care about those issues they've got funny ways of showing it.
