Truthseeker Tony, back in the saddle with a News-Leader editorial.
One excerpt in particular should make the Governor say 'uh-oh'...
...in the time since this story first became widespread statewide news, after former Blunt deputy counsel Eckersley was fired, Nixon's office has received information from "one of the whistleblowers" that there might have been "a significant problem" in the area of retaining records in the form of backup tapes. This is a serious matter.
It's one thing for the Governor and his staff to have engaged in a policy of document destruction before they were called on it by Eckersley. It would be quite another if Team Blunt were actively destroying backup records in the period after the issue went public and it became clear that there would be an investigation.
Destroying evidence, interfering with an investigation and obstructing justice, anyone?- Howard Beale's blog
