"Various Blogs"

Prompted by posts on "various blogs" about the long knives that some Blunt insiders have out for Ed Martin, the Post-Dispatch's Virginia Young dashed off her own blogpost on the matter.  Young went to Andy Blunt and the Governor's staff to get their spin on the story:

Contrary to talk on the street and in various blogs, Andy Blunt said in an interview this morning that he’s not engineering the ouster of Ed Martin as the governor’s chief of staff.

“Me?” asked the governor’s brother. “Ed’s one of my good friends. He’s not on the way out.”

Gov. Matt Blunt’s spokeswoman echoed that statement when asked if Martin was leaving.

If Ed Martin is neither fired nor "on his way out" then perhaps one of the happy campers at Governor Blunt's playhouse can tell us where he's been for the last ten days.  Maybe even unbind his hands, pull him out of the broom closet, take the duct tape off his mouth and let him talk to some enterprising reporter like Virginia Young.
